For the holiday-maker, Pateley Bridge is in the spectacular countryside of the Yorkshire Dales in the valley of Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a wonderful base for walking, cycling and sightseeing. Nearby is a large variety of visitor attractions, including Fountains Abbey, How Stean Gorge, Ripon Cathedral, Ripley Castle and Stump Cross Caverns.

To the east, we are 1 hour's drive from the city of York, and 2 hours from the famous seaside town of Whitby. To the west, Ambleside in the lake District is less than 2 hours away. The port of Hull, with The Deep, the world's only submarium is 2 hours away.
